German manager “sounded out” to replace Carrick, United board member “really appreciates” Premier League alternative – Fabrizio Romano, Talksport

Fabrizio Romano has reported that Antonio Conte, Julian Nagelsmann, and Eddie Howe are prominent candidates to take over at Manchester United if Michael Carrick is dismissed. Carrick's position has come under intense pressure following a 4-1 Champions League defeat against Como and a poor Premier League run of one win in seven matches. Nagelsmann is reportedly free after managing Germany, while talkSPORT stated he has already been sounded out.

Romano also noted that an unnamed United board member appreciates Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler, though Hürzeler remains focused on his current club. Meanwhile, Argentina's Lionel Scaloni and Como's Cesc Fabregas were ruled out as realistic options due to their existing commitments.
