German club Wolfsburg have released a statement, confirming major career news involving former Manchester United star Christian Eriksen.

German club VfL Wolfsburg and former Manchester United midfielder Christian Eriksen have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Eriksen stated that the decision was made because it is important for him to be close to his family in Denmark. Wolfsburg Managing Director Sport Dieter Hecking confirmed that the club granted Eriksen's request to terminate the deal.
Eriksen originally joined Wolfsburg as a free agent in September 2025, tallying three goals and 10 assists across 34 appearances. The Danish international has not played competitively since collapsing on the pitch during an international match against Ukraine in June.
