Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has opened up about his fears of developing dementia and shared fond memories of his late wife, Cathy. The 84-year-old explained that his concerns stem from frequently heading heavy leather footballs during his 17-year playing career in Scotland. Ferguson revealed that his brother Martin is currently living with the condition, which influenced his decision to purchase a home in Glasgow to stay close to family.
Ferguson also paid tribute to Cathy, reflecting on their 59-year marriage and her steadfast support throughout his managerial career. To maintain his mental sharpness, the legendary manager reads frequently and completes online quizzes. He also recalled his recovery from a life-threatening brain hemorrhage suffered in 2018 while discussing his upcoming book, 'Games of My Life.'
