Rodrigo Bentancur was sent off for violent conduct as Manchester United were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with Tottenham

Pundits and former officials have delivered their verdicts on Luke Shaw's confrontation with Rodrigo Bentancur before the Tottenham midfielder's red card in a 1-1 draw against Manchester United. Bentancur was dismissed for violent conduct in the 78th minute after a sliding challenge on Shaw sparked a clash where Shaw shoved the midfielder, who then made contact with his head.
On Sky Sports Ref Watch, former referee Dermot Gallagher stated the red card was correct but argued an earlier foul call on the tackle could have prevented the clash. Pundit Jay Bothroyd described Bentancur's challenge as reckless while suggesting Shaw's push was also dangerous near the advertising boards, and Tim Sherwood expressed sympathy for Shaw's reaction.
