Man United to ‘spy’ on Atletico Madrid player as transfer mission exposed

Manchester United reportedly plan to scout Atletico Madrid forward Giuliano Simeone during their upcoming European clash against the Spanish club. According to Mundo Deportivo, United have joined Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur in tracking the Argentinian attacker. However, Atletico Madrid consider Simeone unsellable, as he remains under contract for four more years with a €500 million release clause.

The scouting mission comes amid a difficult run for manager Michael Carrick following a 1-1 draw against Tottenham. United spent over £150 million in the summer on players including Carlos Baleba and Youri Tielemans, but recent reports claim club officials feel their summer recruitment fell short.
