The fate of the manager will be discussed at the club’s training ground…
Manchester United have scheduled a meeting at the Carrington training ground to decide manager Michael Carrick's future. Carrick was tasked with saving his job across two fixtures, which resulted in a 3-2 victory over Roma and a 4-4 draw against Aston Villa. However, the result against Villa left United in the Premier League relegation zone, making Carrick the first manager in 40 years to oversee the club in the top flight's bottom three.
Director of football Jason Wilcox will reportedly make the final decision on whether to dismiss Carrick or allow him more time. Club officials have reportedly assessed potential replacements including Eddie Howe, Julian Nagelsmann, and Antonio Conte, although reports indicate Manchester United currently lack a firm alternative plan.
