Man Utd have won just two of their first nine games of the season after losing 2-0 to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

Manchester Evening News writer Tyrone Marshall awarded Carlos Baleba a team-high 7/10 rating, while Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes each received 4/10 following Manchester United's defeat to Atletico Madrid. United conceded just 53 seconds into the match when Pablo Barrios finished an Alex Baena cross. Although Bryan Mbeumo tested Jan Oblak and Fernandes struck the crossbar, United were unable to find an equalizer.
United's comeback hopes vanished when defender Leny Yoro received a red card for denying a clear goalscoring opportunity in the final 20 minutes. Ademola Lookman subsequently scored to seal Atletico Madrid's 2-0 victory against Michael Carrick's side. Marshall noted that Dalot struggled early on his flank, while Fernandes appeared short of full fitness during the contest.
