Emotions will be high in Champions League clash
A minute's silence will be held before the Champions League clash between Atletico Madrid and Manchester United following the death of Atletico midfielder Koke's mother. The Spanish club confirmed the bereavement on Tuesday and requested UEFA's permission to hold the pre-match tribute and wear black armbands at the Estadio Metropolitano.
As an additional mark of respect, Atletico Madrid announced that the stadium flag would be flown at half-mast. The match also marks a key European test for Manchester United head coach Michael Carrick, whose team faces an Atletico side currently sitting second in La Liga.
