Relief for Matthias Jaissle as Newcastle responded to back-to-back defeats with a 2-0 win at Crystal Palace.

Newcastle United secured a 2-0 victory against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on October 25, 2026. After a sluggish first half, manager Matthias Jaissle saw his side break the deadlock through quick-fire second-half goals from Will Osula and Harvey Barnes. The result brought Newcastle up to seventh place in the Premier League table and ended a run of consecutive away defeats.
Goalkeeper Hornicek maintained Newcastle's second clean sheet of the season with key saves against Wharton and Osorio. The match also saw injury returns for Anthony Elanga and Jacob Ramsey as late substitutes. The defeat left Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage facing boos from the home supporters at full time.
