One Newcastle United player was reportedly turfed out of the club after calling the police on his team-mates for a prank gone awry

Andy Carroll revealed in his autobiography that former Newcastle United teammate Ben Tozer called the police after a training ground prank. Carroll stated that players wrapped Tozer's new car in industrial cling film, leading Tozer to report the incident as criminal damage before being persuaded not to press charges.
Following the confrontation, Tozer was loaned to Northampton Town and never played for Newcastle again. Tozer made only two senior appearances for the Magpies before completing a permanent transfer to Northampton in 2011, while Carroll later moved to Liverpool.
