Former Newcastle youngster Lucas De Bolle is looking for his next challenge after returning from Portugal

Former Newcastle United midfielder Lucas De Bolle is currently a free agent and seeking a return to playing in the UK. The midfielder is assessing his options following the conclusion of an 18-month spell with Portuguese side Portimonense. De Bolle had previously left Newcastle as a free agent in the summer of 2024 after featuring as an unused substitute in Premier League and Champions League fixtures.
De Bolle reflected on his experiences under former Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, including being on the bench against Borussia Dortmund in November 2023. Prior to moving to Portugal, he also played under Elliot Dickman at South Shields in the National League North, scoring one goal and registering four assists across nine appearances.
