A potential loan move back to the Eredivisie has been floated for Newcastle United midfielder Sean Steur, according to a report from Soccer News. The 18-year-old joined Newcastle from Ajax in the summer for €23.5m but has struggled for playing time under manager Matthias Jaissle, recording just 331 minutes across 10 appearances.
Dutch sides including Ajax, PSV, Feyenoord, and AZ Alkmaar are viewed as possible loan destinations to secure regular development minutes. However, the report notes that Magpies supporters are fond of Steur, meaning any temporary departure might not be received well.
