The Toon boss knows that injuries are beginning to clear up but insists that no risks will be taken with certain players…

Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle indicated that defender Dan Burn is closing in on a return to the starting lineup ahead of their clash against Crystal Palace. Both Burn and forward William Osula participated in an extra running session following Newcastle's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa to build up their match fitness.
Jaissle noted that while Burn is progressing toward a start in his natural central defensive position, Osula may require more time due to load management after a prolonged absence. The manager emphasized the importance of welcoming senior players back for squad stability without risking further injury setbacks.
