Matthias Jaissle has challenged Newcastle United to turn their frustration from Thursday night’s Carabao Cup defeat into motivation when Everton visit St James’ Park tonight.
Newcastle United head coach Matthias Jaissle has urged his team to seek revenge against Everton at St James' Park on Monday night. The rematch follows Newcastle's 3-1 Carabao Cup round of 16 defeat against David Moyes' side at the Hill Dickinson Stadium the previous Thursday.
Jaissle emphasized the necessity of cutting out costly individual defensive errors and becoming more clinical in front of goal. A victory against Everton, who remain winless away from home this season, could elevate Newcastle to seventh in the Premier League table.
