William Osula has suffered a fresh ankle injury, leaving Newcastle waiting to discover whether he can face Everton again on Monday night.

Newcastle United striker William Osula has suffered a fresh ankle injury, leaving manager Matthias Jaissle waiting to learn if he can play Everton on Monday night. Osula was substituted at half-time during Thursday's 3-1 Carabao Cup defeat after twisting his ankle while taking a shot following an earlier challenge from James Tarkowski.
Yoane Wissa replaced Osula at the interval alongside tactical changes involving Jacob Ramsey and Harvey Barnes. Jaissle confirmed it is too early to know if Osula will be fit for Monday's Premier League fixture, marking another setback for the forward in only his second start since a previous injury.
