Pierre Sage defiant reaction to Matthias Jaissle and Newcastle United taking all three points

Crystal Palace manager Pierre Sage remained defiant after his side suffered a 2-0 home defeat against Matthias Jaissle's Newcastle United at Selhurst Park. The loss marked Palace's fifth league defeat in their opening eight Premier League matches. Following the final whistle, remaining home supporters booed the team, leaving Crystal Palace in 17th place and just one point above the relegation zone.

Addressing the crowd's reaction, Sage acknowledged that supporter frustration is normal during poor runs of form. He stated that his primary focus remains on preparing the squad to compete and improve, dismissing outside criticism as mere noise while noting any decisions regarding his future ultimately rest with the chairman and owners.
