‘What are Newcastle United?’ BBC Sport pundit predicts misery to come

BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has predicted a 2-1 defeat for Newcastle United against Fulham at Craven Cottage. Ahead of the fixture, Sutton questioned the identity of Newcastle under manager Matthias Jaissle, noting that the team has lost three of its last four Premier League matches and recently suffered consecutive losses to Everton in both the league and the Carabao Cup.

Sutton highlighted that a negative result would lead to heightened pressure and fan dissatisfaction going into the international break. Writer Jim Robertson notes that Newcastle must replicate the strong second-half performance seen in their recent London victory against Crystal Palace rather than their poor opening half.
