The Story in 60 Seconds

Corinthians have reportedly raised their asking price for 20-year-old midfielder André Luiz to at least €30m (£26m) for a permanent transfer. The valuation increase follows the player's recent strong form and his first senior Brazil call-up by manager Carlo Ancelotti for upcoming friendlies. Both Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest previously pursued the midfielder during the summer window.

Nottingham Forest had a €12m bid rejected in August before signing Gustavo Puerta instead, while Crystal Palace scouted the player extensively. Neither Premier League club is currently in active negotiations for André Luiz, who remains under contract with the Brazilian club until December 2029.
