The Story in 60 Seconds

Jurors at Cambridge Crown Court were shown video footage of Anthony Williams stumbling around an LNER train before carrying out a knife attack. Williams was confronted during the incident by Nottingham Forest supporter Stephen Crean, who suffered severe injuries to his left hand while traveling home from a match. The video captured Williams drinking from an unmarked bottle and wobbling between carriages before drawing a large knife.

Williams faces multiple charges, denying 10 counts of attempted murder regarding the train incident on November 1. He also denies four other attempted murder charges connected to separate incidents in Peterborough and on a DLR train. The judge informed the jury that Williams's actions are uncontested, leaving them to decide whether he intended to kill his victims.
