Nottingham Forest are reportedly targeting AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit as they prepare for the upcoming transfer window. The 20-year-old talent, who has previously drawn comparisons to Dutch legend Johan Cruyff, is attracting widespread interest from several Premier League rivals, including Brighton, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace.
Smit primarily operates as a central midfielder or attacking number 10, having registered seven goals and 14 assists in 84 appearances for AZ Alkmaar. Forest may look to pursue a permanent deal for midfield reinforcements under head coach Oliver Glasner after not signing a direct replacement for Elliot Anderson.
