Cristiano Ronaldo's international future has taken centre stage after his behaviour during the latest round of UEFA Nations League fixtures

Portuguese media outlets have praised Portugal's unity and performance following a 4-2 UEFA Nations League win against Denmark, which took place after Cristiano Ronaldo left the national team camp. The 41-year-old departed the squad after being benched against Norway, promising on Instagram to eventually reveal the reasons behind his departure while Rafael Leao took over his No. 7 shirt.
Domestic outlets including Record and O Jogo highlighted Portugal's cohesive play without Ronaldo, with Joao Felix scoring from the bench. Manager Jorge Jesus stated he will address the situation after the next fixture against Norway, while defender Renato Veiga revealed players were instructed not to discuss Ronaldo's absence.
