Ex-Sunderland, Everton and West Brom cult hero linked with shock EFL takeover move

Former Premier League striker Victor Anichebe has been linked with a takeover of League One side Bromley. According to reports from journalist Alan Nixon, the 38-year-old owner of Lumira Group is increasingly involved behind the scenes at Hayes Lane and recently organized a training camp in Cheshire for the squad.

The potential acquisition marks another attempt by Anichebe to enter club ownership following a collapsed bid to buy National League side Gateshead in May 2025. Anichebe previously played for Everton, West Bromwich Albion, and Sunderland before moving into business.
