Regis Le Bris is looking forward to welcoming Habib Diarra back into the first-team fold at Sunderland
Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris is preparing to welcome midfielder Habib Diarra back into first-team contention following a hamstring injury suffered in August against Fulham. Diarra has been progressing through his recovery program and hopes to return to action by the end of the international break. Le Bris expects the 22-year-old midfielder to feature prominently during an upcoming congested schedule.
The Black Cats face a demanding stretch of seven games in 22 days once club competition resumes. Le Bris noted that while Granit Xhaka and Noah Sadiki have started every league match, squad rotation will be necessary. Meanwhile, Sunderland medical staff are assessing injuries suffered on international duty by Brian Brobbey and Dan Ballard.
