Kevin Phillips has been speaking about Sunderland’s recent downturn in form.

Former striker Kevin Phillips has expressed concern regarding Sunderland's poor form in the Premier League, where the club sits at the bottom of the table. Despite taking only four points from their opening seven domestic matches, Phillips noted that the club's strong start in the Europa League could help the squad rebuild momentum and confidence.
Sunderland have won both of their continental matches ahead of Thursday's match against Lech Poznan. Phillips emphasized that league survival remains the top priority, adding that the team urgently needs injured players such as Brian Brobbey back on the pitch to help turn their season around.
