Sunderland are set to embark on a testing run of fixtures.

Former Sunderland striker Kevin Phillips has urged the club to rediscover their ruthless streak ahead of an extremely difficult run of Premier League fixtures. Regis Le Bris' side currently sit bottom of the table with only five points from their first nine matches. They face an intense schedule including Chelsea, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and a derby clash against Newcastle United.
Speaking to the Sunderland Echo, Phillips emphasized that the team must take games one by one and improve defensively. He highlighted the need to keep clean sheets and replicate strong home performances at the Stadium of Light, referencing their ability to secure results against top opposition.
