Chemsdine Talbi has been added to Sunderland’s Europa League squad following Habib Diarra’s latest injury setback…

Sunderland head coach Régis Le Bris has confirmed that winger Chemsdine Talbi has replaced the injured Habib Diarra in the club's Europa League squad. Talbi is available to face Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday after missing the team's opening three European games. Diarra faces around six weeks out following a muscle injury, allowing Sunderland to utilize UEFA's long-term injury replacement provision.
Talbi was previously omitted from the squad amid summer transfer speculation but recently scored in a Carabao Cup victory over Brentford. Under UEFA regulations, Diarra cannot return to European action for at least 60 days. Le Bris also confirmed that defender Dan Ballard is progressing and targeting a return to training sessions by mid-December.
