Tottenham Hotspur are relaying the pitch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after hosting just four matches there this season. The modifications are taking place during an extended break before Spurs return to host Coventry City on Monday, October 19. The venue recently hosted the annual NFL London Games while the squad traveled to Marbella, Spain, for a warm-weather training camp.
Tottenham previously investigated whether playing surfaces at the stadium or the Hotspur Way training ground contributed to squad injuries. Experts concluded there were no issues with the turf, suggesting the current relay is unrelated to injury concerns.
