The Tottenham player hasn't enjoyed a good start to the 2026-27 season…

James Beavis argues that Tottenham Hotspur striker Dominic Solanke is risking a fate similar to former record signing Tanguy Ndombele. Despite Tottenham's recent revival under Roberto De Zerbi, including back-to-back victories against Coventry City and Chelsea, Beavis asserts that the £65m forward has largely disappointed and remains an unreliable option leading the club's attack.
Solanke was benched against Chelsea due to reported fatigue and tactical reasons, having managed only 24 goals in 75 appearances for Spurs since joining in 2024. Beavis contends that Tottenham must ultimately upgrade on Solanke, Richarlison, and Omar Marmoush if De Zerbi's side aims to progress to the next level.
