Tottenham Hotspur teenager Jun'ai Byfield has returned to first-team training under manager Roberto De Zerbi ahead of the club's clash with Leeds United. The 17-year-old defender was spotted working with the senior squad at Hotspur Way alongside fellow prospect Luca Williams-Barnett, who recently made a cameo appearance against Crystal Palace.
Byfield previously made three senior appearances last season under Thomas Frank before suffering a back injury in May that sidelined him for five months. Bharad Thirumalai notes that while Byfield is building fitness with the Under-21 side, a first-team return may likely wait until the FA Cup third round in January.
