Lucas Bergvall gives cryptic response to question over Tottenham release clause

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Lucas Bergvall refused to confirm or deny whether his new contract includes a release clause when questioned by Swedish outlet Fotboll Skanalen. The 20-year-old Sweden international recently committed his future to the North London club by signing a contract extension earlier this month.

Bergvall attracted transfer interest from Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest during the summer after expressing frustration over limited playing time in the 2025/26 campaign. However, he decided to sign a new deal after receiving minutes under manager Roberto De Zerbi early this season.
