Manchester United have reportedly joined Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and Chelsea in the race to sign Freiburg striker Igor Matanovic during the January transfer window. The 23-year-old Croatia international has drawn significant Premier League interest after recording six goals and two assists in his first seven matches of the season. Manchester United are reported to have already held internal discussions regarding a potential winter move.
Freiburg are reportedly prepared to allow the centre-forward to complete a permanent transfer in January but will demand around £50m. The German club previously valued Matanovic at roughly £30m during the summer transfer window, but his rising form has increased their asking price to match the fee received from Aston Villa for Johan Manzambi.
