Manchester United have reached a decision over Carrick's future amid the club's worst start to a season since 1986

Manchester United have decided not to sack manager Michael Carrick despite recording their worst start to a league season in 40 years, according to TEAMtalk. The decision follows a disappointing 1-1 home draw against 10-man Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. United currently sit 12th in the Premier League table with only six points from their opening six fixtures, but club owners INEOS are reportedly continuing to back the 45-year-old manager for now.
Carrick will remain in charge for Tuesday's UEFA Champions League match against Atletico Madrid, followed by a Premier League fixture against Leeds United. In Saturday's match, Bryan Mbeumo scored for United in the 73rd minute before Tottenham's Rodrigo Bentancur received a red card. However, Dominic Solanke headed a stoppage-time equalizer for Roberto De Zerbi's side, prompting boos from the home supporters at Old Trafford.
