Reviews are in for Jan Paul van Hecke’s latest performance and Tottenham will like most of them

Tottenham Hotspur defender Jan Paul van Hecke received mixed reviews from Dutch media following the Netherlands' 2-1 Nations League victory against Serbia. While manager Xavi Hernandez secured his first win with the national side, outlets offered contrasting views on Van Hecke's performance. Brabants Dagblad and Sport Nieuws praised his passion, sharpness, and defensive recovery after a prior draw with Germany.

In contrast, Dutch publication Voetbal Primeur labeled Van Hecke's forward passing as sloppy and suggested he lacked defensive focus due to a slump at Tottenham. However, match statistics contradicted the criticism, showing Van Hecke recorded a 93 percent passing accuracy alongside seven passes into the final third.
