Tottenham Hotspur have moved up one spot to 23rd in Opta's global power rankings with a rating of 91.5, despite enduring a difficult start to their domestic season. Spurs currently sit 19th in the Premier League table after failing to win any of their opening six matches, recording three draws and three defeats while scoring a league-low three goals.
The club has steadily climbed from 30th before the campaign and 24th after the summer transfer window, following a spending spree of nearly £400 million on talent from Newcastle, Brighton, and West Ham United. Spurs Web notes that manager Roberto De Zerbi and the squad are significantly underperforming relative to their global ranking and must turn their form around to avoid relegation danger.
