A respected football analyst has taken a closer look at whether the data backs up the idea that Tottenham have faded in the second half…

Data analysis by football analyst Enya Collins reveals that Tottenham Hotspur's second-half drop in intensity is concentrated between the 61st and 75th minutes. During this specific 15-minute window across their first six Premier League matches under manager Roberto De Zerbi, Spurs have posted their only negative non-penalty xG differential and conceded four decisive goals that cost them five potential points.
According to Collins, the slump stems from fatigue caused by Tottenham leading the league in pressing intensity, with 31.9 percent of their pressures occurring in the attacking third. Collins suggests the issue could be addressed either through improved squad fitness levels or more effective substitution timing by De Zerbi.
