Tottenham planning ‘executive’ appointment as De Zerbi sack update emerges

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly exploring the appointment of a new senior executive or co-sporting director amid growing pressure on manager Roberto De Zerbi. Spurs currently sit bottom of the Premier League table after five matches, marking their first time in last place in 18 years. Despite holding a 28.57% win percentage over 14 matches, the club hierarchy is reportedly not planning an immediate departure during the international break.

According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Tottenham remains relatively calm behind the scenes and wants to establish its sporting infrastructure before evaluating the manager. De Zerbi originally joined on a long-term project and helped the club avoid relegation last season. However, results must improve quickly as upcoming fixtures include an away match against Manchester United followed by a home game against Coventry City.
