Aberdeen Hampden semi-final allocation slashed after Rugby Park pitch invasion

Aberdeen have had their ticket allocation for the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Rangers reduced by 500 tickets by the SPFL. The sanction follows supporter misconduct during their quarter-final match against Kilmarnock at BBSP Rugby Park, which Aberdeen won 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw on September 12.

The SPFL concluded proceedings into two serious incidents involving Aberdeen supporters, citing an illegal pyrotechnics display before the match and a pitch incursion after full-time. In addition to the reduced ticket allocation at Hampden Park for the fixture on October 31, the club must cover the cost of the unsold tickets.
