Rangers have been backed to beat Celtic to the signing of Arsenal wonderkid Dowman if the teenager heads to Scotland on loan in January.
Former Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness stated that Rangers would be the clear choice over Celtic if Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman moves to Scotland on loan in January. The 16-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with potential loan moves to both Glasgow clubs as Arsenal weighs opportunities for regular first-team minutes.
Speaking to Football Insider's Inside Track podcast, Wyness argued that Rangers currently offer a more stable environment for Dowman's development than Celtic, citing their past handling of Mikey Moore. However, Wyness also noted that an English Championship loan might be a preferable alternative given the intensity of playing in Glasgow at 16.
