Former international wants Celtic pair to move to the English Premier League.

Former United States international Brek Shea has urged Celtic center-backs Cameron Carter-Vickers and Auston Trusty to pursue permanent transfers to bigger clubs in the English Premier League. Shea argued that moving to a stronger competition would test the American defenders and benefit their international careers, questioning whether they can develop further while playing in the Scottish Premiership.
Carter-Vickers joined Celtic from Tottenham Hotspur in 2021, winning 10 major trophies and attracting a reported £20 million inquiry from Bayer Leverkusen before suffering an Achilles injury. Trusty arrived from Sheffield United for £6 million in September 2024 and has won four major honors in Glasgow while becoming a regular starter for the US national team.
