Sam Allardyce claimed he would not give advice to Leicester City manager Russell Martin because the former Rangers boss would refuse to listen. Speaking on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, Allardyce argued that Martin's refusal to adapt his tactical beliefs previously cost him his managerial roles at both Southampton and Rangers.
Allardyce stated that Martin's rigid footballing philosophy exceeds his players' capabilities and warned it could soon lead to his dismissal at Leicester. In contrast, Allardyce highlighted Leeds United manager Daniel Farke's tactical shift to a direct style through Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a successful compromise to achieve results.
