In the moments before kick-off, the Estadio da Luz was briefly plunged into darkness before a spectacular light-show illuminated this magnificent arena.

Benfica defeated Celtic 4-1 at the Estadio da Luz in the Europa League on Thursday, leaving Martin O'Neill's side winless in the competition. The Portuguese hosts dominated the first half, racing to a 3-0 lead courtesy of a brace from Jhon Duran and a goal from Alexander Bah.
Celtic responded in the second half when Camilo Duran headed home a cross from Haissem Hassan to make it 3-1. However, Benfica substitute Vangelis Pavlidis sealed the victory in the closing minutes, beating Celtic goalkeeper Viljami Sinisalo to cap off a difficult European night for the visitors.
