Celtic’s latest accounts have already shown how badly missing the Champions League hit the club financially. But seeing nearly £11m disappear from the cash pile…

Celtic's financial accounts reveal the club's cash reserves fell by £10.9m, dropping from £77.3m in June 2025 to £66.4m by June 2026. The decline occurred despite lower overall spending compared to the prior year. Total club revenue dropped from £143.6m to £111m, largely impacted by a £24.6m collapse in media-rights income after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Chairman Brian Wilson attributed the drop to cash consumption at the operating level alongside squad investment and capital projects. Cash from operating activities experienced a £23.7m negative swing, shifting to an outflow of £3.8m. Additionally, commercial revenue fell from £36.1m to £31.7m and stadium operations decreased to £7.8m following the Celtic Fans Collective's Not Another Penny boycott campaign.
