Mika Baur’s Celtic display earns major SPFL recognition after Motherwell masterclass

Celtic midfielder Mika Baur was named in the SPFL Team of the Week following his standout display in a 2-0 victory against Motherwell on Sunday. The German international was Celtic's sole representative in the team, which was selected by pundit Craig Fowler. Celtic manager Martin O'Neill praised the 22-year-old's performance as terrific and very impressive, following goals from Camilo Duran and Benjamin Nygren at Fir Park.

Baur contributed heavily to the win, registering five shots, creating four chances, making four tackles, and recording a 92 percent passing accuracy. He also helped create Nygren's second goal by winning possession from Motherwell. Having recently made his Germany debut under Jurgen Klopp, the former Paderborn midfielder heads into Celtic's upcoming European fixture against Benfica with strong momentum.
