Celtic manager Martin O'Neill has confirmed that central defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is approximately ten days away from returning to action due to an injury. Carter-Vickers had started Celtic's first 12 matches of the campaign before missing out against Motherwell, ruling him out of upcoming fixtures against Benfica, Hearts, Celta Vigo, and Hibernian.
The defender's absence follows recent attention regarding comments he made concerning Celtic's tactics after a September Glasgow Derby defeat. In his absence, Dane Murray stepped into the defense, with Liam Scales and Auston Trusty remaining O'Neill's other primary central defensive options during a congested fixture schedule.
