Torino midfielder Gvidas Gineitis voiced his frustration over limited playing time after his proposed transfer to Celtic collapsed late in the summer window. Speaking following a loss to Como, Gineitis admitted that the past few months have not been the best of his life, having been restricted to substitute appearances under manager Ignazio Abate since being substituted at half-time against Roma on September 14.
Celtic manager Martin O'Neill targeted Gineitis as a replacement for Arne Engels, but the clubs failed to agree on a valuation before the deadline. Torino had previously signed Daniel Braganca anticipating Gineitis's exit, and reports suggest Celtic could potentially revisit a deal for the Lithuanian international during the January transfer window.
