Celtic attacker Benjamin Nygren has been sent home from international duty with Sweden after contracting a sickness bug. Nygren was isolated alongside Gustaf Lagerbielke, Yasin Ayari, and John Mellberg, with all four players missing Sweden's 1-1 Nations League draw against Bosnia on Friday night. The Swedish FA confirmed that none of the affected players will recover in time for Monday's fixture against Romania in Bucharest.
Prior to falling ill, Nygren scored his fourth international goal in a 3-1 victory over Poland. Celtic will hope the forward recovers in time for their Scottish Premiership match away to Motherwell following the international break.
