Celtic right-back Colby Donovan has signed a new five-year contract extension, committing his future to the Scottish Premiership club until the summer of 2031. The 20-year-old defender had less than two years remaining on his previous contract but was rewarded with improved terms following his successful transition into the first team.
Donovan has started 15 of Celtic's 17 fixtures this season while regular starter Alistair Johnston has dealt with injury troubles. Manager Martin O'Neill praised the Scotland Under-21 international's maturity and resilience, while Johnston's latest injury setback against Hibernian is expected to keep Donovan in the starting lineup.
