Former Celtic boss hits the summit after dramatic late victory.

Former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers guided Al Qadsiah to the top of the Saudi Pro League with a dramatic 1-0 victory over Al-Taawoun. Former Manchester City midfielder Tijjani Reijnders netted a 96th-minute winner to secure the three points, opening up a one-point lead at the league summit as Al Qadsiah target their first league title in 58 years.
The late defeat leaves Al-Taawoun, who featured Rangers loanee Nedim Bajrami as a late substitute, winless in 10 matches and sitting three points adrift of safety. The victory continues an impressive campaign for Rodgers' squad, who also prepare to move into the new 47,000-seater Aramco Stadium later this year.
