Bain was in inspired form last weekend and kept a clean sheet as Falkirk defeated the champions 2-0…

Former Celtic player Frank McAvennie revealed on the 'Let Me Be Frank' podcast that Celtic reportedly attempted to re-sign goalkeeper Scott Bain over the summer. McAvennie stated that a Falkirk director informed him Celtic made an offer to bring the 34-year-old shot-stopper back to Parkhead earlier in the season following the departure of Kasper Schmeichel.
Bain recently starred against Celtic, making nine saves for Falkirk in their recent clash. While Celtic ultimately signed England international Sam Johnstone on a loan deal to compete alongside Viljami Sinisalo and Ross Doohan, McAvennie questioned whether Bain's playing style was truly suited to Celtic's goalkeeper demands.
