‘It’s a crazy situation’ – Celtic star Auston Trusty and USA involved in Chile rammy with both sides entering pitch

Celtic defender Auston Trusty and his United States teammates were involved in a chaotic late confrontation during a 4-2 victory over Chile. The incident occurred deep into stoppage time when Chile's Leandro Hernandez kicked USA goalkeeper Brian Schwake as he gathered the ball to run down the clock. Trusty and fellow American players rushed to confront Hernandez, triggering pushing and shoving across both squads. Manager Mauricio Pochettino stepped onto the pitch to intervene.

Following the match, Pochettino called it a "crazy situation" and noted he tried to separate the sides as frustrations spilled over. On the pitch, the United States overcame a 2-1 deficit through goals from Julian Hall, Chris Richards, and Mathias Albert, the latter assisted by Trusty in added time. Sebastian Berhalter also scored for the Americans.
